A chef carved a swan from a block of ice to entertain guests on a cruise ship in India.

Footage shows the cook Jok Mendoza Barnes, 28, skillfully chiselling the edges of his medium and forming the figure of a bird in under ten minutes off the coast of Mumbai on November 12.

Quick-handed Jok was given 15 minutes to create the piece but impressed passengers and colleagues when he finished so quickly.

Jok said he was learned food and ice carving from his home Laguna province, the Philippines.

He said: ‘I grew up seeing and adapting to it over time since I was born, where people love to do carving. It's nice to see that foreigners love it and be amazed by it, too.'
