Video of the Choptank River during a flood warning in Greensboro, Maryland on Tuesday December 19th, 2023. As a result of the extraordinarily heavy rain produced by the powerful nor'easter that traveled up the Atlantic coast Sunday into Monday, excessive rainfall amounts in the 3-5 inch range swelled the Choptank River over flood stage Monday afternoon. The flood warning has been extended to 6:30pm this evening. This video was recorded along Maryland Route 314/West Sunset Avenue at Greensboro Community Park, which has been closed until further notice.
