A passing motorist stopped their vehicle to help a 15-year-old girl being attacked by a dog on a street in Biysk, southern Russia.

The incident occurred on December 5 and footage shows the teenager being dragged to the snowy ground by the attacking canine.

The victim was left with painful bites and was taken to hospital for treatment.
