Spain ranks 10th on a list of countries with the best performance towards achieving 100 percent renewable energy systems, according to the Platform of Action for Renewable Energy.

Based on renewable energy priorities, financial capabilities and population size, the platform places three emerging and developing economies, Chile, Brazil and China, at the top of the ranking.

A Barcelona-based expert said Europe should collaborate more on developing a unified energy distribution system to boost renewable energy development.
