For the welfare of the people of the world and for the prosperity of agriculture, the Todar tribe dressed in their traditional clothes in the Mordwerth festival held at Muthanadu Manthi near Utagai.
The spectacle of performing special prayers and cultural dances in the temple attracted all the tourists.


They live in dense forests in tiny hamlets called Mandu, which have natural resources only in the Nilgiri mountain range in the world.

They worship buffaloes as family deity. To welcome the New Year, they celebrated a traditional ceremony called Mort Varth at their traditional temples, the cone-shaped Munpo and the semi-circular Odayalvo temple, in the Muthanadu Mandu area of ​​the Todar tribe near Uthagamandalam.


Then the people gathered in the cone-shaped Munpo temple and worshiped by paying an offering of one rupee each. Then everyone came to the semi-circular Odayalvo temple and worshiped. Then they enjoyed traditional dance in front of two temples.

Then the youths displayed their skills by lifting the small round stone to show their strength. Thodar women are not allowed in this ceremony.
