Major road collapse on highway causes 2 death and 4 injuries

A significant road collapse occurred in Inner Mongolia, China, causing several vehicles to fall and killing two people.

The incident took place on December 25th on the Erenhot-Fengzhen section of the Erlian Highway (G2) near Ulanqab Local authorities, including traffic police and firefighting teams, swiftly responded to the incident.

The next day, official statements from Ulanqab confirmed that four vehicles, including a cargo truck, plummeted into the collapsed section. The accident resulted in injuries to four individuals and two casualties were reported after unsuccessful rescue efforts.

The conditions of the four injured persons are stable. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the road collapse.
