Storm Gerrit has caused major damage to property and cars in Criccieth, north Wales as it passed overnight on December 27th.

Local people reported 70-80mph winds with structures and roofs on the beach front were ripped up and sent like 'frisbees' into cars and houses.

The filmer commented: "One house lost all front southwest-facing windows exposing the family in a terrifying ordeal. When asked if it was debris they replied 'It was the sheer force of the wind' [It] seemed like a freak Tornado, with large golfball sized hail and lightning."
