Israel Clamps Down On West Bank Money Offices

Israeli soldiers raided money exchange offices in the West Bank during raids on Thursday, seizing large deposits of cash from them, local officials said. The raids targeted nine shops in Ramallah, Jenin and Hebron, according to Israeli and Palestinian media reports, and around $2.8 million were seized, accordong to Israeli Army Radio. Israeli officials said the shops were allegedly transferring funds to Hamas and the Islamic Jihad.
