On November 7, 2023, at China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Panda, Bifengxia Giant Panda Base in Ya’an, Sichuan Province, a panda caretaker was seen providing an extra meal to a panda named Xiang Xiang.
The caretaker neatly arranged a bundle of bamboo and brought over a handful of bamboo shoots, positioning them strategically for easy viewing by visitors.
Shortly after, Xiang Xiang emerged from its den, skillfully picking up bamboo shoots with one hand while using the other to hold them securely against its paw, preventing them from slipping away. It was a delightful moment of a panda savoring its bamboo treats.
