In an unconventional classroom experience at the Wuhan University of Technology, northern China, a professor mesmerized students with a hypnotism demonstration.

The teacher, identified as Professor He Fangxun, engaged students in a demonstration where one of them, under his instructions, closed his eyes and became seemingly impervious to external stimuli.

Even when subjected to physical interaction, including being stepped on, the hypnotised student remained unresponsive.

Subsequently, the hypnotised student was instructed to sit in a chair, maintaining a rigid posture. The professor placed several banknotes on a table, declaring them the student's if he could grab them. Despite this incentive, the student remained motionless until the command, "Think of the name of the girl you love, and your body can move instantly." Following this instruction, the student gradually emerged from the trance, standing up.

Later the student featured in the video, identified as Mr. Li, a freshman from the School of Transportation and Logistics Engineering, clarified that he was fully conscious during the demonstration and was unaware of being hypnotised.

Li expressed prior skepticism toward hypnosis but found the experience fascinating. "I even feel a bit relieved of my fear of heights after the session," he added.

Professor He Fangxun emphasised that the subconscious mind acts as a natural protector, preventing individuals from divulging sensitive information without consent. He highlighted that if hypnotists enter the patients’ heart without the patients’ consent and want to extract the core secret, the patients will wake up immediately, "so if the hypnotist wants to use hypnosis to let the patient make a naked body, reveal the bank card password and other things that do not meet their basic principles, the patient will resist."

The video was filmed on December 25, and provided with permission from local media.
