In northern China, the owner spent nearly one day to find three lost poodles that slipped away from home.

Video filmed on December 27 in Henan province shows the owner calling out the dogs' names while driving.

After an entire night of heart-wrenching calls, one dog Audrey came back home by itself; the other two dogs Purple Perilla and Mint were found on the frozen river. The paws of Purple Perilla and Mint were sore.

According to its owner Liu, the three dogs had never stepped outside before. She took them downstairs to the lawn to play together. After going downstairs, she went back to the kitchen to get some food for them. They thought Liu had left and went out searching for her. Liu went after them just two minutes later but couldn't catch up.

Ms. Liu mentioned that the dogs are rather fearful of people. She heard of someone chasing them after they got lost so the poodles became frightened and eventually sought a remote refuge.
