Gold Coast Water Police Saves Yacht Crew During Storm in Queensland, Australia

Gold Coast Water Police sprang into action on Christmas Night, December 25, as they responded to distress calls following severe storms in the region. While conducting welfare check patrols near Crab Island and South Stradbroke Island around 10 pm, officers were alerted to a partially capsized yacht with two people still onboard.
In a swift and efficient rescue operation, both individuals were safely transferred from the distressed yacht onto a water police vessel. The officers navigated the adverse conditions to transport them to dry land at Labrador. Fortunately, both occupants from the vessel emerged unharmed.
