STORYLINE:

As New Year's Day nears, a flurry of activity can be seen at the Khorgos highway port.

Refrigerated trucks, brimming with a variety of fruits, swiftly pass through the China-Kazakhstan "green channel", destined for Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia. Remarkably, these exports can reach Almaty markets in just a few hours.

The recent mutual visa exemption agreement between China and Kazakhstan has facilitated visits for Central Asian businessmen seeking business opportunities in China.

Kazakh businessman Iiyas Kairbayev can't wait to visit the Khorgos fruit and vegetable export base in Xinjiang upon entering China.
