Rogue Wave Strikes Ventura Beach, USA Prompting Beach Closures

On December 28, a rogue wave struck the beach at the end of Seward Ave in the City of Ventura during a high surf advisory at high tide. The powerful wave resulted in the transportation of eight individuals to local hospitals. Currently, both Ventura County beaches and the Ventura Pier are closed as a precautionary measure for public safety.
Authorities, including the Ventura Police Department and the City of Ventura, have issued a warning for residents and visitors to avoid the ocean vicinity, emphasizing the potential dangers posed by such conditions.
