STORYLINE:
In St. Petersburg, Russia's second largest city, a retro bus carrying several "Father Frost" and "gifts" has been launched to celebrate the New Year.
While stopping at some sites, orchestra musicians dressed as Father Frost get off and play music to set the mood for the holiday.
The holiday bus runs from Dec. 23 to 31, during which some "Snow Maiden" also appear on the bus.
Father Frost is the favorite New Year's fairy tale character among Russian children. According to Russian folklore, when the New Year is approaching, Father Frost and his granddaughter, the Snow Maiden, will ride in a carriage to various places to distribute gifts and send blessings to children.
