In a joint effort with the Public Ministry, law enforcement in the District of Cristobal executed a successful operation resulting in the seizure of 949 packages containing suspected illicit drugs at a local port.

The significant haul was discovered concealed inside a container at a port terminal in the Province of Colon. The container, originating from Honduras and bound for Helsinki, Finland, raised suspicions during routine checks, leading to a thorough inspection and subsequent discovery of the alleged drugs.

Investigations are underway to identify those involved and unravel the full extent of this international narcotics network. Authorities remain vigilant in their efforts to maintain the safety and security of the region against the threats posed by drug trafficking activities.
