Four yachts were shipped from Dongting, China's second-largest freshwater lake, to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday, the first day of 2024.
The yachts were made in Yuanjiang City, which is in the hinterland of Dongting Lake and has fostered a flourishing shipbuilding industry.
Shipbuilding is now a pillar industry for Yujiang, boasting an output value of over 10.5 billion yuan (1.49 billion U.S. dollars) last year.
