The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) officials rescued a cow which had fallen into a canal in northern India's Uttarakhand.

This incident happened at the Shakti Canal in Dehradun on December 31.

Visuals showed the SDRF officials using a lifeboat to reach the shore of the canal while trying to bring the cow to safety. The animal was brought close to the shore from where it was pulled up to the land by the people who were present at the spot. They dragged the animal by a rope and some also pulled its tail to eventually rescue it.

As per a report, the SDRF officials had reached the spot with Assistant Sub-inspector Suresh Tomar and the necessary equipment to conduct the rescue operation. They descended into the canal on a raft and worked tirelessly to save the animal's life and bring it to safety.
