In a recent development, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed that the Hamas organization has been utilizing civilian homes for storing weapons and conducting illicit activities. The IDF's 188th Brigade and Golani Brigade discovered a significant cache of weapons, including long-range rockets with a 20-kilometer range, RPGs, tunnel shafts, and intelligence materials in El Bureij.

During meticulous scans of the area, the forces located these weapons in family homes, exposing the organization's exploitation of civilian spaces. In one instance, a targeted raid on a civilian building in El Bureij by the Golani combat team led to the discovery of numerous weapons, ammunition, and dozens of shoulder-fired missiles and grenades.

The IDF promptly neutralized the threat by destroying the rockets and confiscating the weapons. This revelation underscores the challenges faced by security forces in distinguishing between civilian and militant infrastructure in conflict zones.
