A calf was rescued after it fell into a 50-feet-deep well in Hathnasa, Uttar Pradesh, on January 2.

Footage shows firefighters working with locals to haul the young bovine from out of the well.

A calf was rescued by fire service officials after it had fallen into a 50-foot-deep well in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

This happened in Hathnasa village in Rae Bareli district on January 2.

Visuals showed the rescue operation wherein the calf was pulled out of the deep well. Rescuing the calf seemed a bit tough at first, given the fact that it was sitting inside the well and seemingly not willingly to be picked up and pulled out.

But the fire service officials and the villagers, who had tied ropes around the bovine's body, managed to pull it out eventually with a lot of effort. The calf was pulled out and it walked off after being rescued. This rescue operation was conducted by officials of the Lalganj fire fighting unit.
