The Temple of Heaven, also known as Tiantan in Chinese, is a breathtaking complex of imperial religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing, built between 1406 and 1420 during the reign of the Ming Dynasty Emperor Yongle, who also constructed the Forbidden City.
