The bizarre video shows the moment a circus trampoline's spring suddenly breaks during a performance sending five performers flying to the corners.

In the recording, six acrobats can be seen performing the flying trapeze act in which a performer jumps from one trapeze to another over a massive trampoline at 3pm on December 24.

Meanwhile, five other performers, from the Shanghai City Circus in China, can be seen standing straight up on the trampoline and waiting to join the act named 'Time and Space Journey'.

However, just seconds later into the video, one of the trampoline's springs suddenly broke, sending the five people over it flying to the corners of the frame.

The incident prompted the show to end 10 minutes earlier. One of the performers fell on the ground following the incident, according to local media.

Circus staff revealed on December 25, that all performers, including the one who fell on the ground, were found to be in good condition after undergoing medical checks
