USCG Rescues Family with Three Children Stranded in South Slough National Estuary, USA

On December 29th, a USCG crew from Air Station North Bend executed a successful rescue operation, saving three children and one adult man stranded in a remote area of South Slough National Estuary near Charleston, Oregon. The father of the children had dialed 911 alerting about their predicament in the forest.
Collaborating with OregonOEM, the USCG developed and executed a comprehensive rescue plan. The aircrew was swiftly dispatched, locating the family around 8 p.m. Following the successful operation, the rescued individuals were airlifted back to the air station and subsequently transferred to local EMS for any required medical attention.
