A bull was rescued by fire officials after it had fallen into a well in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

This incident happened in Belha village, in the Sareni police station area of Rae Bareli district on January 4.

Visuals showed the bovine lying inside the dry well after it had fallen. The animal didn't move much and it seemed it was weak and potentially injured.

The fire service officials were seen at work. Ropes were tied around the bull's body and later, an excavator was used to pull the bull out of the well.

The bovine didn't move much and was safely lifted out of the well by the excavator. A small crowd had also gathered at the spot as they watched the rescue operation take place.

The bull was rescued by members of the Lalganj fire services.
