In a fierce campaign, the 98th Division forces are currently engaged in intense combat in the Khan Yunis area, targeting and eliminating Hamas soldiers while dealing significant blows to their infrastructure both above and below ground.

The combat teams of the 4th and 55th Brigades have successfully neutralized numerous soldiers in the northern and eastern battalions of the Khan Yunis Brigade. The 4th Brigade's Combat Team discovered and neutralized a shaft leading to an extensive underground route, where soldiers from the Nuhba force were attempting to reinforce the Khan Yunis Brigade. The destruction of the route led to the surrender of five Nokhaba soldiers to the 55th Brigade Combat Team.

Ground investigations revealed that the 4th Brigade's combat team's subterranean assaults resulted in the deaths of numerous soldiers, including two company commanders in the Khan Yunis Brigade.

Colonel Oded Ziman of the 55th Brigade highlighted their month-long fight on the outskirts of Bnei Suhila and Khan Yunis, emphasizing the destruction of Hamas combat compounds, tunnels, and the elimination of Hamas soldiers.

Colonel Miki Sharvit of the 4th Brigade declared success on the southern front, destroying many soldiers, including Nokhaba operatives and company commanders. The uncovering of underground tunnels and the utilization of advanced technological means for tunnel detection showcased the IDF's commitment to maintaining security and neutralizing the enemy.
