Helicopter Rescues Injured Hiker at 'Tibetan Bridge' in Matera, Italy

In a swift and courageous rescue operation, Matera Fire Brigade came to the aid of a 60-year-old Portuguese hiker who sustained injuries while traversing path no. 406, near the renowned "Tibetan Bridge" over the Gravina stream.
This morning's incident prompted a collaborative effort, with SAF teams and the Bari flight department helicopter mobilized for the rescue mission. The skilled firefighters successfully reached the injured hiker, ensuring his safety, and subsequently transferred him to medical personnel for further care.
