A young boy showed courage, locked the leopard in the house, after eight hours the forest department rescued
In search of prey, a leopard entered the house of Mohit Yadav of the village at around four in the morning January 6 (Saturday ) in Majhra Munimpur of village Rai Bhud of Thakurdwara Kotwali area of Moradabad district,Uttarpradesh. In search of prey, he went into the straw closet inside the house.
When Mohit saw the leopard going inside, he closed the door of the closet from outside and informed the village head Bhanu Pratap Singh and the villagers. A crowd of people gathered at the spot. The village head informed this to Ranger Ravi Kumar Gangwar of Forest Department Thakurdwara.
On which District Forest Officer Suraj, Sub Inspector of Thakurdwara and Bijnor and police team reached the village to catch the leopard. The team reached around 6 in the morning, surrounded Mohit Yadav's house and started the rescue operation to catch the leopard.
After a rescue that lasted for about eight hours, the team got success at around 2 pm. The team captured the leopard through a net and imprisoned it in the cage it had brought with it. Later the forest department team took the cage along with the leopard from DCM to Moradabad.
