The London Borough of Redbridge is under fire from the UK Lawyers for Israel (UKLFI) for not removing Palestine flags lining the streets of the area.

Footage from January 7 shows the flags attached to tens of lampposts in Gants Hill.

According to a statement by the UKLFI, the council has "breached the law because it has failed to remove the great proliferation of Palestinian flags".

The release also claims the flags appear to contravene section 132 of the Highways Act 1980.

The act states it is an offence to "affix a sign, picture or letter onto the surface of the highway, a tree, structure or works in or under the highway".
