Soldiers trek through rubble-covered mountain to transport earthquake aid in Japan
Soldiers trekked through a rubble-covered mountain to deliver earthquake aid in Japan.
Footage shows troops of the Japan Self-Defense Force walking through the path strewn with rocks and boulders to transport relief goods to remote areas in Suzu City in the Ishikawa Prefecture on January 7.
The prefecture was among the hardest-hit areas during the 7.6 magnitude quake.
Local media reported that as of Wednesday, the death toll was at 206, with seven casualties dying at evacuation centres from injury and sickness. Fifty-two people were still missing as snowfall hindered rescue efforts.
