SDRF personnels rescue man fallen into ditch in northern India

In a commendable incident, state departments rescue forces save an injured man who was trapped in a ditch in northern India's Uttarakhand.

This rescue operation took place in Dehradun on January 10.

Following the alert, Deputy Inspector Manish Chauhan led the SDRF rescue squad, outfitted with the required equipment, to the scene. Locating and rescuing the person was made possible in a substantial way by the team's well-coordinated actions and quick reaction.

The rescue mission began with the team locating the victims bike which was left unattended. The injured person was found 500 metres below the main road by the SDRF crew after a thorough search. Reports suggest that he had slipped while he had halted his ride due to minor inconvenience. After spending the cold night in the pit, the 36-year-old victim, named Vipin Dobhal, was discovered comatose.

Mr Dobhal was safely taken to the hospital by the SDRF team after they swiftly provided first aid. He is currently receiving medical attention for his injuries.

The rescue team included ASI Manish Chauhan, K.Vedprakash, Co. Naveen Kumar, Virendra Singh.
