A591 to open for public transport this weekend.

The A591 in Cumbria is set to open this weekend for a public transport service between Grasmere and Keswick using a newly constructed temporary bypass.

The Prime Minister visited Grasmere last week to announce a package of support and spoke to business leaders about the £100M per day impact that the road closure was having.

The business & local community are pushing for the temporary road to be opened up to more vehicles. Cumbria County Council are due to announce more details on access this Friday.
