An escaped bull charged into a council executive's home where it became stuck on the balcony.

The video shows shocked locals watching the farm animal standing on the balcony of a former chairman's house after it first stormed through the front door on January 9.

Smartphone footage recorded in the city of Jalaun in Uttar Pradesh, India, showed the animal on the first floor as puzzled locals watched it from outside.

The bull reportedly entered the residence of the former municipal chairman Sarita Anand Agrawal before it decided to take a breath of fresh air and went on the platform.

The incident caused panic among terrified locals as many of them feared the animal would attack them.

The residence building was immediately evacuated with people running down in a bid to escape a possible attack.

Upon receiving the unusual report, emergency crews reached the location and initiated an operation to remove the bull from the home.

The rescue operation reportedly lasted for hours.

Indian media claimed that the state has been facing massive issues with stray cattle, with incidents coming to light daily. Several people have lost their lives in stray-cattle-related incidents.
