Water was shot 50 feet into the air during a bore mining operation in Bajang Mal, Madhya Pradesh, on January 8.

Workers and locals were left astounded by the sheer force the water was propelled into the air.

The mining operation was in response to nearby families voicing their concerns about drinking water.

This incident occurred after 150 feet of mining.

Water shot up to a height of 50 feet with great force during bore mining in central India's Madhya Pradesh, leaving everyone involved in the work astounded.

This incident took place in the Bajag block of Dindori district on January 7.

Visuals shot on January 8 showed the water springing out of the shaft in the ground. The water shot up the pipe-like structure and rose to a great height. This happened twice and the sheer force with which the water came out left many astounded. There was no one in the vicinity of the area where this happened with the people keeping themselves at a safe distance. This took place beside a road and the same could be inferred as people were spotted passing by the area on a bike. According to a report, officials of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department were at work in this area as they mined for water to be made easily available in the area.

Anshul Bisen, the PHE department in-charge, said that around 300 families living in the five localities-Shobhapur Gram Panchayat, Bandha Tola, Karbemattha, Kathotia, and Nan Bai Tola, faced concerns about drinking water and the government as a result, decided to perform bore mining so that a tube well could be constructed. This was being done under the Jal Jeevan Scheme and the project involved a massive cost of Rs 94 lakh (USD1,13,013.94).

The water came out with force after about 150 feet of mining and it was purely natural. After this incident happened, the workers were asked to stop the operation and close the bore. Furthermore, information about the same was sent to the PHE department and the bore was closed with a gap with workers monitoring it. This was, however, not the first time that something like this happened. Earlier, water had come out during bore mining at the Kabermatha village of the district.
