Severe Thunderstorm - September 18, 2012
Video of the severe thunderstorm that passed through the Washington DC area on September 18, 2012. A combination of a cold front from the Midwest and a low pressure system from the Gulf of Mexico produced a squall line that traversed Montgomery Village, Maryland around 3:00 pm, producing winds in excess of 40 mph and torrential rain, which prompted flash flood warnings for Montgomery County, and tornado warnings for eastern Montgomery County and Prince Georges County.
