Flat pack to Flippin' perfect - A591 Bridge brings joy.

The A591 in Cumbria is set to open this weekend for a public transport service between Grasmere and Keswick using a newly constructed temporary bypass & bridge over a river.

The Prime Minister visited Grasmere last week to announce a package of support and spoke to business leaders about the £100M per day impact that the road closure was having.

The business & local community are pushing for the temporary road to be opened up to more vehicles. Cumbria County Council are due to announce more details on access this Friday.

The footage shows the crane used to drop the temporary bridge over the river. The work was completed in a little over an hour.
