A female goat escaped from her owner and rampaged in front of a post office in Thailand.

The farm animal broke free from her leash and ran onto the highway in Kamphaeng phet province on January 11 afternoon.

She nearly caused a collision walking in front of cars near the Kamphaeng Phet bus terminal before fleeing into the local post office, where animal rescuers and staff were able to corner her.

Video shows the officers chasing after the elusive nanny goat as she bounded away from them with ease.

It took the team more than 30 minutes to finally grab hold of the goat after tiring her out.

The owner, a Burmese man named 'O', 50, thanked the officers for their help.

He gave the goat some water before leading her back home to his farm.
