A man rescued a driver trapped in a burning vehicle during his commute in eastern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Nanjing in Jiangsu Province on January 11.

Upon noticing the driver's cries and the heavy smoke from the car, a man named Mr. Chen acted promptly and managed to save the driver without hesitation.

The driver was found bound by the safety belt, and his clothes were almost entirely burnt by the flames. Chen successfully dragged him out of the car within 10 seconds. Shortly afterwards, the vehicle was completely engulfed by the flames.

Police officers and firefighters arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the fire.

Chen shared in local reports, “In hindsight, it was quite frightening, but if I hadn't rescued him, he might not have survived.”

As he saved the man, Chen suffered scratches on his hands, and his clothes were slightly burned.
