STORYLINE:
Local education authorities in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region have rolled out new measures to reform final exams for small school children.
According to the new measures, test paper results will no longer be the only standard for measuring students' learning capacity for first and second-graders at elementary schools.
They encourage these pupils to participate in different fun learning activities to gain knowledge.
