In a courageous response to a house fire on Edenville Cheesetown Rd, Engine 45 and Squad 41 of the Franklin Fire Company took swift action on January 11, 2024. The incident, reported at 11:08 am, unfolded in box area 18-13, with Engine 45 as the first due engine laying out 800ft of supply hose.

Upon arrival, Engine 45's crew encountered a well-advanced fire, nearly fully involved. Defensive operations were immediately implemented, with an additional 2 hand lines stretched from Engine 45. Squad 41 played a crucial role in safeguarding the attached garage through hand line operations.

Station 4 demonstrated exceptional teamwork, with 12 members operating on the scene for approximately 2.5 hours. Following the intense firefighting efforts, an additional 2 hours were dedicated to cleaning and repacking hose equipment, as well as washing the apparatus back at the station.
