Taiwan's presidential election was held on Saturday, January 13th, as part of the 2024 general election, and long lines were seen outside the polling stations.

Lai Ching-te, also known as William Lai, current vice president, who heads the ruling Democratic Progressive Party, won the election and will become the country's new president in May.
