This heartwarming moment a chilly puppy was snugly wrapped in a warm blanket during a cold spell in Thailand.

Footage shows the owner Sayumporn carefully wrapping her newly adopted pet dog with a thick blanket in her backyard in Khon Kaen on December 27.

She gently placed the pup on the ground and secured the blanket to keep it warm.

After giving the pooch a bath, she decided to provide extra comfort by snuggling him with a blanket, ensuring he would not shiver from the cold.

Sayumporn said: 'It was our first time taking care of a dog seriously, so we were still unsure of how the dog would feel.'

Thailand has tropical heat of more than 30 degrees Celsius for most of the year but for a few weeks in December and January, a cold spell brings cooler weather.

On Christmas Day this year, it was just 14 degrees Celsius - down from an average of 25 degrees Celsius the week before.
