The China Foundation for Peace and Development and Myanmar-China Exchange and Cooperation Association donated school materials to Practicing Middle School, Yankin Education Degree College in Yangon on Tuesday.
During the donation ceremony, on behalf of the two organizations, the secretary-general of the China Foundation for Peace and Development Xu Jianguo handed over the stationary items, LED light bulbs, sports equipment, which are worth 10 million kyats (about 4,762 U.S. dollars).
About 150 people attended the ceremony, including representatives from a number of Chinese and Myanmar civil organizations, volunteers from the Yangon University of Foreign Languages, and teachers and students from Myanmar's international schools.
