Government of Gustavo Petro sent first aid after landslide in Choco, Colombia

In response to the winter emergency in Choco on Friday, 12 January 2024, which resulted in a landslide that killed 39 people, the national government announced that 20 tons of aid for the affected households were moved to that region of the country on the afternoon of 15 January.
This move, which included the participation of the Department of Social Prosperity (DPS), headed by Laura Sarabia, as well as the support of the Presidential Advisory Office for Business Affairs, covered the collection of 1,240 clothing kits, footwear and kitchen implements.
