A quick-thinking shop owner bravely pushed a flaming tyre away after it fell from a truck in southern China.

CCTV footage filmed in the city of Guilin in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on January 13 shows a tyre falling from a passing cargo truck, bursting into flames and careening into a local paint shop.

Mr. Wei, the store owner, displayed remarkable courage as he rushed to push the blazing tyre out of his shop, preventing a potential disaster.

Eyewitnesses described the harrowing moment as the tyre, engulfed in flames, crashed through the shop's entrance, narrowly missing customers and store staff. Mr. Wei's swift actions not only saved lives but also prevented significant damage to the store.

According to Wei, the tyre belonged to a truck parked on the roadside. Miraculously, no injuries were reported, and the store suffered minimal losses, with only a damaged coffee table.

Wei has already reached an agreement with the truck driver regarding compensation for the incident.
