On January 9, 2024, a roe deer found itself stranded on the icy surface of the Beloyarsk reservoir in the Sverdlovsk region of the Urals, Russia. Alone and unable to navigate the slippery terrain, the distressed animal caught the attention of the Ural Regional Search and Rescue Team of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Responding promptly, rescuers, along with the Zarechny city rescue service, utilized a hovercraft to reach the stranded roe deer. The forest creature had rolled on the ice and struggled to regain its footing. The dedicated rescue team worked tirelessly, eventually helping the roe deer back to safety, ensuring its return to the nearby forest. A 24/7 temporary post at the Beloyarsk reservoir facilitated the rescue mission, emphasizing the collaborative efforts of the rescuers in successfully aiding the stranded wildlife.
