On January 14, 2024, in Kamchatka, Russia, a lynx kitten faced a perilous situation when discovered on a tree in the Leninsky district with a deep, old wound. Swift action was taken by residents of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, leading to a successful rescue operation. The injured lynx was carefully euthanized and transported to the Krokodil veterinary clinic for a crucial surgery to address its abdominal wound. Following the procedure, the young lynx spent a night at the Kotofeevo cat shelter to recover. Recognizing the importance of minimizing stress, wildlife advocates promptly released the rehabilitated lynx back into its natural habitat.
