STORYLINE:
In order to welcome the upcoming Chinese New Year, the Year of Dragon, an exhibition themed "Under the sign of Dragon" was recently held in Russia's St. Petersburg.
The exhibits include prints, sculptures and sacrificial vessels with Chinese dragon images which could be dated back to the 18th century. They show the role of dragons in traditional Chinese culture and the similarities and differences compared with other cultures.
The exhibition kicked off on Jan. 11 and will be held until March 17. According to the organizers, it aims to provide local people with opportunities to better understand Chinese culture.
