A car accidentally smashed through a roadside barrier and plunged into a lake when attempting to make a turn in southern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Jieyang in Guangdong Province on January 16.

With the assistance of bystanders, the driver managed to climb out of the car through the rear trunk.

According to the driver, she was following navigation instructions for a right turn but underestimated the sharpness of the curve, leading to the unexpected plunge into the lake.

Fortunately, the vehicle's speed was moderate, preventing it from fully submerging, and the driver emerged unharmed.

The specific damages to the car and the barrier will be addressed through coordination with the insurance company.
