Monkey madness unleashes chaos in Chinese residential
Monkey madness unleashes chaos in multiple areas in residential districts of eastern China.
The video was filmed in Suzhou City in Jiangsu Province on January 18.
One particularly daring monkey ventured into a community in Wujiang District, skillfully climbing pipes to reach the rooftop and adeptly opening windows to access the building's corridors.
Property management staff in the community reported that the monkey's agile movements prevented them from capturing it.
In addition to this escapade, groups of monkeys were spotted running and playing on the streets of Tiger Hill District in Suzhou. On the 19th, officials from the Suzhou Forestry Station revealed that they had dispatched personnel to the scene to address the situation.
These monkeys are believed to be wild macaques that descended from nearby mountains, and although the exact count remains uncertain due to their elusive nature, their numbers are quite substantial.
Wild macaques are known for their strong instincts and lack of vaccination, posing potential dangers. Authorities are urging citizens to avoid approaching or feeding these wild monkeys.
The situation is currently being monitored closely, and efforts are underway to manage and ensure the safety of both the residents and the monkeys involved.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
