On the 16th of January, Officers Castro and Ray responded to a call at 30th and Valmont, finding a vehicle hanging precariously on a retaining wall during sunset. To their shock, they discovered a 4-year-old child in the back seat.
With the assistance of Boulder Fire, swift action ensured the safe rescue of both the child and driver from the dangerous situation. The driver now faces charges of careless driving, reckless endangerment, and child abuse, as authorities explore the possibility of a medical event.
